Feature Analysis
A comprehensive list of electronic portfolio features was developed using information from the e-portfolio software products evaluated by Regis faculty. To view the list of these features, download a copy of the Excel spreadsheet: Features Comparison Spreadsheet

This list of features was used to rate nine electronic portfolio products according to the various needs of departments and programs at Regis University.

These are the thoughts and observations of a project team put together to study existing ePortfolio software available in the market at the time of our research in February 2003. New products and improvements of existing ones are always emerging. We encourage you to use this as a starting point and do further research on your own.

School of Professional Studies

School for Healthcare Professionals The School for Health Care Professions educates men & women as leaders committed to excellence within the health care professions. Fundamental to the health care professions, service is an integral component of the SHCP curriculum. Programs are available to both adults and students of traditional college age in Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Health Services Administration & Management.

Prior Learning Assessment
Prior Learning Assessment is a program through which
students can petition for college credit for the learning gained from life and work experience. Currently, students submit a paper portfolio which includes an autobiographical essay, an essay addressing the outcomes of a particular college level course, and documentation to support the contents of their essay. Documentation can include letters of reference, certificates of training, and original works (e.g. paintings, computer programs, training manuals, lesson plans, creative writing, etc.)

School of Education The Education Department guides students towards Colorado Teacher Licensure in elementary education (K-6) or secondary education (7-12) in a performance based setting. The program shares responsibilities with partner K-12 schools in the Denver Metro area, and students learn about schools and teaching in practical placements connected to college courses.

Career Services Career Services offers a full range of career planning, internship, and employment services to Regis students and alumni.
