Describe external conditions that led to the idea for creation of the business. Consider discussing the following:

· Legal considerations
· Global circumstances
· Entry barriers
In addition to the above discussion points, be sure to use this section to cover the competition, their strengths and weaknesses and any substitutes that might be available for your product or service.

Target Market
Profile the consumer and customers of the proposed product or service. Include demographic and psychographic information in addition to buying power, buying preferences and an analysis of potential market size. This section should also define the customer need.
Description of Enterprise
Description of the product, service or business (including perceived value to the consumer and unique selling proposition)
Details on intellectual properties
Recommended pricing, distribution and promotion plan
Operations plan, manufacturing requirements and facilities needed
With in this section include details on the social need to be addressed with the creation of this enterprise. This section should also address the ability of your enterprise to be replicated.
Risk Assessment and SWOT Analysis
This section summarizes the main strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats facing the enterprise and summarizes the potential risks.
· Strengths – the summary of the most positive internal strengths of the company
· Weaknesses - the summary of the internal weaknesses of the company
· Opportunities - the summary of the most positive external influences on the company
· Threats - the summary of the external threats to the company
Timeline and Growth Plan
Growth strategies and plans to replicate enterprise
· Product Development, R & D Plan, Spin Offs, Benchmarks or milestones
Financial Plan
Estimated and/or actual pro forma financial statements for three years, including:
o Income Statement
o Cash Flow overview
o Break Even Point
o Balance sheet at 3 year point
· Investment proposal
o Enterprise funding to-date; future investment needed
o Sources and uses of funds (e.g. how much from; management team, customers, friends and family, angels, banks, etc.) and rate of return if applicable
Management Team and Organizational Structure
· Ownership and legal structure of company
· Organizational structure, including current and future management team and staff
· Management team job description and qualifications/background if managers are in place
· External advisors and board members
· Current and future employment opportunities for youth
Criteria for the social business plan competition:
· Plans must integrate social outcomes into your business mission and bottom line
· Plans must identify an issue, the current barrier for solutions / your approach to the solution, the local impact, the natural environmental impact, and the human impact, and how the product and or service will lead to sustained financial viability for the entity
· Plans must be submitted in English
· The plan can be for new entity or established entity
· The plan must identify and comply with the applicable local and national legal and/or regulatory requirements
· The plan may be submitted by individuals or a team, but all members of the team must meet the participant criteria
· Entries should be emailed in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF reader to bparish@regis.edu
