Engaging Campuses. Serving Communities.

Colorado Campus Compact (CCC) builds campus and community partnerships through service learning and civic engagement programs in support of the civic mission of higher education. CCC works with presidents and their campuses at 60 Campus Compact member colleges and universities in the Rocky Mountain region of Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico and Utah.

CCC is part of a growing Campus Compact national network including over 1100 college and university presidents, 34 state coalitions, and a national office. The Colorado Campus Compact still reflects the kind of commitment from its presidential leaders, campus staff, students and community partners that characterized its beginnings in 1992.

Colorado Campus Compact was founded in 1992 under the leadership of Bruce Corielle (Colorado College), Victoria Keller (Colorado State University), Lynn Montrose (Regis University), Mary Jo White (University of Colorado-Boulder), and Brooke Beaird. The Community College of Denver hosted the Compact on the Auraria Campus from its founding until 1997, and the University of Denver hosted the Compact from 1997 until 2004. Today CCC is hosted by Regis University.

“I see a western engaged scholar as somebody who’s committed their professional work as an academic to serving the public good, to making a difference in the lives of people.”

- Nick Cutforth, Service-Learning Consulting Corps – Community Based Research , University of Denver
