Access Colorado strives to increase student retention and access through integrated P-20 collaborations, community discourse, and school-based civic engagement and retention programs.

New Access Colorado AmeriCorps*VISTA team members participated in their team orientation in August 2008.

Fact: Research shows that participation in service learning/civic engagement improves students’ interest in learning, and therefore leads to increased academic performance and retention.
