ACCESS Colorado is
a state-wide initiative to address
high
school retention and student access to
post-secondary education.
Jess
currently leads a team of 16 VISTA
members as they develop high school-based
civic education programs and conduct
assets-based community mapping projects
throughout the state.
Prior to taking this position, Jess
served as a VISTA member
at the Missoula Forum for Children and Youth
in Missoula, Montana as a coordinator for
two youth advocacy coalitions. Jessica
proudly hails from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin
on the peninsula of Door County. She enjoys
traveling, hiking with her dog Rocco, and
visiting her amazing family back in
Wisconsin.
Jess received her B.A. in Sociology and
Peace, Conflict and Global Studies with
a Concentration in Community Organizing from
Northland College in Ashland, WI.
Jess is also serving on the Board of
Directors for a non-profit in Jamaica called
The Blue Mountain Project.
