Mission

The mission of Colorado Christian College is to serve God by providing Christ-centered higher education. The purpose of Colorado Christian University is:

  • To enable students to pursue a Christ-centered undergraduate and graduate education in an institution of higher education that integrates biblical concepts with the arts, sciences and professional fields.

  • To encourage students to integrate their Christian faith and higher learning by developing thoughtful Christian perspectives.

  • To challenge students to engage in opportunities for spiritual growth, character development, social interaction, and community participation.

  • To prepare graduates for leadership and service within their selected careers and communities. To sustain a community of faculty, administrators, and staff who exemplify Christian faith and character and excellence in their professional fields.

Location: Lakewood, Western suburb of Denver
Population: 144,126 Lakewood; 527,056 Jefferson County
Economy: Major industries include retail, construction, religious organizations, professional, scientific and technical services, and health care and social assistance. Three major employers of Lakewood include Lockheed Martin Astronautics, Denver Federal Center, and Coors Brewing Company (5,000 employees). The major industry is government; the Federal complex is the largest such site outside the nation’s capitol.
Demographics: 89% White, 2.7 % Asian

Unique Aspects:

  • Jefferson county, a predominately residential community, is nearing the remaining amount of available land space, while at the same time seeing a decline in K-12 enrollment

  • 2.7% of the available population are unemployed
