"I have learned a great deal about the many rural communities in Colorado and what the unique needs, challenges, and concerns are for these areas related to healthcare.  Through work, school, and service in UCAN Serve AmeriCorps I have come into contact with many patients from rural areas...I feel that I will be able to apply the knowledge I gained through AmeriCorps to future work...with patients and families from rural communities."
