ORTHODOX GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP - Begins DECEMBER 13, 2001

A 5-week Holiday Grief Support Group for Orthodox Christians will meet at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 5555 So. Yosemite, Greenwood Village, Colorado. Facilitator will be Demetra Jaquet, M.Div., a member of St. Catherine and a board certified hospice chaplain in the Association of Professional Chaplains. The group will be using The Grief Recovery Handbook, by John James and Russell Friedman, 1998 Revised Edition. Bring your own copy, available in any bookstore. Any Orthodox Christian is welcome. The group will meet Thursdays from 1 to 3 pm on December 13, 20 and 27, January 3 and 10.

Six sessions. Adult discussion and application of Orthodox Spirituality in prayer using the book The Power of the Name: The Jesus Prayer in Orthodox Spirituality, by Bishop Kallistos (Ware) of Diokleia. Bring your lunch. Offered by the Pastoral Care Ministry at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 5555 S. Yosemite, Greenwood Village, CO. On alternate Mondays, noon to 1:30. January 14 and 28, February 11 and 25, March 11 and 25.

OCAMPR Meeting, Rocky Mountain Region JANUARY, 2001

The next meeting of the Rocky Mountain Region of the Orthodox Christian Association of Medicine, Psychology and Religion (OCAMPR) will be at the Monastery of the Brotherhood of St. George, 361 Forest, Denver. Telephone for Fr. Christodoulos is 303 316 -7407. We will begin with Vespers at 6 p.m. followed by a meeting at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome, especially Orthodox Christians in any of the healing arts. The topic for the evening will be presented by Liliana Andronescu, M.T.S. student at Iliff School of Theology and native of Romania.
