Smarthinking includes a web-based Online Writing Lab (OWL), which ED202 Prior Learning Assessment students can use.  Each student gets 10 FREE hours of tutoring per year.

To ensure that your Personal Learning Theme and/or course essay will be critiqued based on PLA requirements, it is important that you fill in, very specifically, the directions for the paper you are submitting to Smarthinking.

Please use the directions below:

Essay on Course Being Petitioned for Credit

**It may be helpful to include the course overview for the current CPS Course or the course description for Non-CPS course you are petitioning for.

  •  First person voice

  •  Past tense using the four parts of the Kolb Model of Adult Learning (Concrete Experience, Observation/Reflection, Abstract Conceptualization and Active Experimentation)

  • Addresses all topics/outcomes in course description

Remember, your paper(s) will be critiqued, not edited.  For specific grammar or punctuation assistance, consult the latest edition of The New Century Handbook.
