Course Goals:
To introduce students to basic human biology. As part of this
introduction, it develops student knowledge of the basic terms and
concepts central to understanding biomolecules, cell biology, genetics,
immunology, cancer, and genetic medicine.
Course Objectives:
Students should be able to…
* generally explain
basic scientific practice and the relationship of science to
evidence-based nursing.
* define the major terms used in cell biology,
hematology, genetics, immunology, cancer, and genetic medicine.
* generally explain the concepts relevant to cell biology,
hematology,
genetics, immunology, cancer, and genetic medicine.
* recognize the health relevance of course
content.
